In the sixties, the (Czecho)Slovakian architects strived to compete with the best of the western world—in the case of this university building in Nitra, their mission certainly succeeded. The structure considered a prominent piece of Slovak modernism was designed by Vladimír Dedeček and Rudolf Miňovský, who admittedly were inspired by the works of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.
